Something good — nay — the BEST thing about shopping early on a Saturday afternoon is the wine tasting. It’s usually at the LCBO (Canadian liquor mall, be jealous), but today it was at 10 AM at my grocery store! There’s a little ‘Wine Cellar’ area and I saw the tasting booth and I was all, “Don’t mind if I do! Here’s my ID, now give me 2.” I ended up walking out with 2 bottles of a new wine, Jackson Triggs Black Series Merlot ($11!!).
I don’t know why I’m doing a post about a wine, but maybe it’s because I really don’t have anything else to talk about today. I wanted to open the bottle and indulge in it all afternoon, but unfortunately, I have to work and can’t be beautifully wine buzzed. Sunday awaits
I was supposed to go apple picking today with Adam’s family, but events transpired and there wasn’t enough time for us to go. Hopefully we get to go soon because I need that 30-pound bag of apples to cook with, snack on, bathe in, and find horses to feed them to.
What’s your favourite wine? Also, do you go shopping on Saturdays solely to partake in wine tastings? I don’t, but it’s that wonderful thing where I’m already grocery shopping and then I realize that it’s wine tasting Saturday.
