The temperature hit 85 degrees at 9AM this morning, so I thought I’d better get out there right then instead of trying to brave the heat later. I took Miley on a half-hour run & we were both shweaty beasts by the time we got back. I figured an ice-cold smoothie was the only breakfast for a day as hot as this. I’ve been missing oatmeal though.

A Chocolate Green Monster smoothie bowl containing frozen strawberries, frozen banana, unsweetened chocolate almond milk, Nativas Naturals Superfood protein powder, a massive handful of spinach, a pinch of xanthan gum and topped with Kashi Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax cereal.

It was sunny and smoggy as hell. I’m pretty sure the water in my dog’s pool was vapourizing. My car was dirty, so I braved the heat & washed it.

The power is going to go out any minute as I type this… but anyway, I washed my car & completed a couple of errands. Today was also the return of the Lazy Pizza. 

This one was just medium salsa topped with spinach, red peppers & skim mozzarella.

After lunch, it was serious cleaning time. I scrubbed down every cupboard, my shower/bathtub — the power just went out — and just went on an all-out cleaning war with my house. I moved a shelf & found a nice, big spider chilling there in his lovely home he’d made for himself. Zoooop! That’s the sound of him being vacuumed up.

A few hours later, it was dinner time. A simple salad & homemade sweet potato fries! Sweet potato fries are so easy to make! Just peel one, cut it into fries, pour 1/2 tablespoon of EVOO on them & then mix with the spices of your choice. I’d recommend rosemary. Today I did a combo of rosemary & cayenne pepper. Of course, you could always just use basic salt.

Anyways, so as might have guessed, there was a storm moving in at this time. Obviously I had to wash my car today, but I should have known, being that it was a hazy 110 degrees outside. I ran outside, just as the sky was turning a dark shade of grey to pull my car in the garage. The neighbour is watering his lawn. Suburbia.

After that, I heard a loud crashing noise & looked in my backyard, where the violent wind blew my table over & the umbrella over the fence & into the neighbour’s yard. Since I’m an idiot, I decided to go outside & fix it. The wind blew my white lululemon headband into the abyss. When the thunder started, so did The Miley Show.

They just issued a Tornado Warning. Windsor has been getting some crazy/cool storms lately! I’m just going to settle in & watch glee tonight, so thank you storm!
