One month and a few days from now, I’ll be jetting off to Orlando with Adam to soak up some much needed vitamin D and to hang out with Harry Potter & co.
I could not be more excited, but there are a few orders of business that need to be taken care of before I can get into the vacation mindset.
First of all, I need to get through the first half of the semester. Now, if you read my blog during my fall semester, you’d know that it was mainly me lamenting school and cursing it daily. Such is not the case for this semester.
Why? Simple.
Ideally, I would like to go to university to learn new things. I want to learn things that I previously had no knowledge of. It doesn’t sound too far fetched, but you’d be surprised. Well, maybe not so surprised if you’re attending/attended university. The majority of my classes involve professors pushing their own personal agenda and vendettas on the students and we’re supposed to regurgitate their words into essays and exams in order to get a good grade. Challenge their opinion and you’ll see that reflected on your marks. One time, I challenged/corrected one of my more arrogant professors and, no lie, he didn’t give me the time of day for the rest of the semester.
Anyways, that might only be the case with my university, in my major, Communication Studies, but I would like to learn new, real things instead of learning someone else’s opinions.
Hence, this semester is considerably better. I am taking Intensive Italian II, which follows Intensive Italian I, that I took over a year and a half ago. I had some brushing up to do! It’s a beautiful language though and it always keeps me interested.
My other classes are Digital Journalism, which is kind of self-explanatory as to why I’m interested in it, and Natural Disasters because I am fascinated with natural disasters and love learning about them.
Aside from school, I also need to focus on losing some vanity pounds. This process was going quite well until the hormones hit and the shit hit the fan. Haaaar Har. Back on track though! (Hopefully).
I also need to buy a few new bikinis and have been torturing myself by perusing the Victoria’s Secret online swimsuit catalogue. I won’t order because shipping costs 1.5x as much as the actual items. Some of them are in stores though, so I might pop over to Troy and pick some up.
Since I’m an AA cup, I have to choose my tops wisely to avoid looking completely flat chested. Here are a couple I’m liking at the moment:
I might actually consider ordering the striped bikini right now. It’s perfect and will be flattering for girls with a body type like me (flat chested, muscular thighs … my word, I’m attractive). The string bottoms flatter thighs and the ruffled top creates the illusion of a bust.
And this one, because I love all things nautical. It will go perfectly with my new iPhone case!
Which one do you like the best? Have you ordered any new bikinis from VS? It seems like a sporting event this time of year for women.
I’m pretty much obsessing over all the spring fashions that are coming out now and am hoping to save up a chunk of cash to go shopping in Orlando. This trip has been a bit of a nightmare and I am sending out a public HUGE thank you/apology to Adam, who has had to go through hell with planning this trip. We have had to rebook our flights twice, which left us with some unattractive fees, but the majority of our trip is being paid for with the points from our travel credit cards so our wallets (hopefully) won’t take much of a hit.
Well, all is quiet at home today. I’m going to start practising Italian vocabulary and cleaning my room + bathroom.
As for the puppies? Well, here’s a little ‘pupdate’:
This one sleeping adorably is Donut, who endured some stomach problems this week. She couldn’t keep food down and was basically just pooping all the time. My sister fed her a mixture of cooked rice and pumpkin, which soothes dog’s stomachs. Although, the whole crew was chowing down on it and loving it. Miley and Layla are adapting to the puppies very well and I think they’ll be sad when they have to go.
And I leave you with that.
Ciao!

The striped bikini is definitely my favorite. This post is so cute, the puppies!
