Beach Bash + Concert

Bonjour!

Yesterday was a total blast. Adam, my sister Aimee, her friend Sara & I attended the Beach Bash in Detroit that accompanied the Kenny Chesney concert at Ford Field. It was a huge street party with lots of people and a lot of alcohol.

Myself, Sara & Aimee

All the girls drank vodka sours (100 shots of vodka & a little bit of lime per glass is what they seemed like) & Adam drank Coors Light.

Unsuspecting photo, whaddupwithdaat?

We met this totally awesome guy wearing a Lions (my team!!) jersey & overalls. We got a picture with him & he even gave me an autographed card, which he gave all the girls, lol.

We didn’t have great seats, but it was still a great time! The music was awesome. I’m a huge country music fan, and the 4 artists (Uncle Kracker, Billy Currington, Zac Brown Band & KC himself) performing did not disappoint! No eating transpired at Ford Field because I’m not a huge fan of stadium food and so I kept my drinking to a minimum so I wasn’t on my ass the whole concert. For the record, I don’t drink often so when I do, it can get out of hand pretty quickly.

I just thought this picture looked awesome.

I had to work this morning and it was actually a pretty good day. I grabbed a triple grande latte in the morning & sailed on a caffeine high throughout most of the day before I had my amazing lunch, which looked like this, only it was in a Pyrex container & I ate it at work. It was a Carba Nada noodle mess with edamame, tomatoes, zucchini (SHOCK) and carrots, with some low fat cheddar cheese grated on top.

I’m off to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for my Turkey Vegetable detoxing soup/stew thing. It is seriously the most amazing meal ever.

It’s a beautiful Sunday & I hope you’re all enjoying it!! ♥

  1. haha, Uncle Kracker. I would actually love to see Zac Brown Band live! Even my country non-loving lover loves ZBB (did that make sense?)

I love taking pictures with random people, especially old men, hehe. He looks like a target for sure. I love that you scored his autograph, haha.

That carba nada noodle mess looks amazing! I have some noodley-doodley’s left, I’m going to have to recreate that!
