Happy Gilmore + Talking British Animals

Happy Birthday to my Mom, the mom who

  • supports & encourages me to follow every crazy dream I come up with
  • taught me how to do laundry properly
  • watches all my shows with me (Gossip Girl, ANTM, Glee, Entourage)
  • taught me how hard work is always worth it
  • has stuck by my side through everything
  • is my role model & best friend
There’s so much more that I could say about my amazing mother, but I just want to say Happy Birthday Mom!! Another year younger ;)
It’s tradition that we all go golfing on her birthday with my grandparents, myself & my sister. After downing some lattes, we were all fired up to do 18 holes & it turned out to be an awesome fun day.

Some golf pics!

I got mad at the ball Happy Gilmore style…..

"Stupid ball why don't you just go home! Are you too good for your home?!!"

We saw a little prairie dog just strolling on the golf course and I immediately thought of that british talking animal video.

"Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan!"

We all thought my papa looked like Bill Murray in his hat 😁

Afterwards, we ate a late lunch in the clubhouse. I ordered a strawberry goat cheese salad, which was really good, except there was a goat cheese overload & I left a lot on my plate. I paired it with a glass of Pelee Island Pinot Grigio.

They brought out a birthday dessert for mom, which was a crepe topped with chocolate sauce & caramel, stuffed with ice cream & strawberries. We all had a piece & it was fabulous

My mom always says the only thing she wants for her birthday is for us all to be together having fun. Well that comes at no problem or expense. August 10th is always a great day! But my sister & I did buy her a pretty fabulous new wallet to match her new purse and she didn’t seem to mind 😃
